Andrew Gillespie Assistant Coach

Andrew Gillespie joined the men’s lacrosse coaching staff in December of 2023, and enters his first season as the assistant lacrosse coach at Guilford.

Most recently, Gillespie served as a graduate assistant coach at Marymount University. Prior to his time in Virginia, Gillespie spent two years at DePauw University as an assistant coach, overseeing defense while also serving as the recruiting coordinator for lacrosse. 

In 2019, Gillespie took over as the defense and goalkeeper coach at Forest Park High School in Virginia, where he helped mentor four All-District and All-Conference players.

Graduating from ODAC conference member Ferrum in 2018, Gillespie was a four-year player, and three-year starter on the men’s lacrosse team. He totaled 65 ground balls and 22 caused turnovers in 52 games played for the Panthers.

Gillespie earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History, with a Minor in Coaching while at Ferrum in 2018.  He then went on to attain a Master of Business Administration during his time at Marymount in 2023.
